Happy Pride everyone!
That Non-Binary Feel when someone claims only 2 genders exist
Okay, so I live in a pretty strict Christian family, the worst being Amelia (I kind of stopped calling her my mother after realising the pain and abuse she had put me through). Anyway, I’m a nonbinary person and it REALLY annoyed me that she was still calling me ‘her little girl’ so I tried to say ‘I don’t like being treated as a girl and I don’t want to have a gender’. Her response? ‘Don’t be stupid, you are a woman and accept that, if you want to know what gender you are, look down your pants. There is a bible verse I want you to read (I think in was in 'psalms’ or something) about women’ and I’m not reading it, coz I ain’t a woman. I’m too scared to tell me dad and my brothers seem to hate things like 'trans’ or 'gay’ or 'pan’ people. I don’t know what to do ;-;
{that’s absolutely terrible, and very cruel to do to your own child. Let your mother know that gender is not based on parts, sex is. Sex and gender are NOT the same. As for telling your dad and brothers, if you do please be cautious and have a place to go ahead of time if you need it. Stay safe, I’m so sorry your mom isn’t stepping up to the plate and being supportive.}Anonymous asked:

Well, demisexuality is in the very middle for a reason—we understand both sides and have experiences from both sides. So you don’t need to feel invalid because being in the middle is about understanding what both kinds of experiences are about! If you were only on one end, then maybe you’d feel asexual or pansexual fits better, but you chose demisexual because you’re between the two.
